Hi, my name is Thibault Courbet and I'm a Level Designer / Environment Artist currently trying to survive in Tokyo.

As a by-product of the 80s and pop culture, I've been playing games for as long as I can remember. And as boring and cliché as it sounds, I always knew that's what I wanted to do when I "grew up". I've been working hard at it ever since I landed my first job in the industry by specializing in environment art and level design.

After 6 games shipped, I have gained an in-depth knowledge of a game's creation pipeline, workflow, the needs of the market and hopefully what players look for in a game. Over time I have been involved in most fields of the creation process, such as level design, game design, 2d and 3d art, fx, and scripting on a few occasions.

Aside from that, I grew up in the 80s-90s and was raised playing (too much) Megadrive and Gameboy, watching as many cheesy horror and action flicks as possible. When I'm not working, you most likely will find me playing an indie game, watching series or a quality (not as often as I'd like to though...) movie, hanging out with my cool wife or having a couple of cold ones with some friends.

After spending a (cold) decade in dear Sweden, I'm currently living my younger-self dream by trying out how weird life can get in Tokyo. And so far so weird!
I've spent a couple of years working on Ueda-san's new game at genDESIGN and I'm now taking a break from the games industry madness. I've joined Quixel/Epic to help them scan Japan and I've built up the japanese hub from the ground up.

Feel free to contact me at anytime if you have any feedbacks, questions or just want to say hi :)

フランス人ですが、2017から東京に住んでいます。
現在、Quixel/Epicのために、日本をスキャンしています(フォトグラメトリなど)。
質問がある場合には、どうぞご連絡ください!
日本語がまだまだですが、頑張ります!
